Sue Stockdale knows what it takes to achieve seemingly impossible goals and her first hand experience influences what we do today:
1982 to 1994: Learned how to navigate corporate culture and politics
A fast track corporate career in British Gas, where Sue was one of the youngest people ever to become a Senior Manager. This was followed by a one-year contract with the United Nations, working in a war zone.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.....
In 1994 Sue Stockdale became the first British woman to ski to the Magnetic North Pole where she faced temperatures cold enough to freeze your flesh in seconds. She has also participated in expeditions to Geographical North Pole, Greenland and Antarctica.
Developed focus and determination to keep going, even when it seems impossible.
Represented Scotland in Track and Field Athletics in 1989 and 1991.
Participated in Channel 4’s Superhuman where Sue Stockdale faced some of the toughest scientific tests ever seen on TV, including escape from a submerged helicopter in the dark. Sue finished runner-up.
Learning, growing and developing
Sue Stockdale Limited was founded in 1997 and since then the company has developed its range of services to meet our client needs. We deliver motivational presentations, executive coaching, coaching supervision, leadership development programmes and psychometric assessments.
Founded, grew and sold a business
In 2004 Sue founded Mission Possible, a business helping women to start up and grow their businesses, by providing a variety of services including early-stage networks, peer support, workshops and events. She sold the company in 2009.
Giving back to the wider community
Sue Stockdale carries out a number of pro-bono activities including as an Advisor to Caplor Horizons, and Deputy Editor for Coaching Perspectives, the global magazine for the Association for Coaching.
